Our team at Sacramento Surgical Arts, PC understands that the appearance of
your face is something which is likely very important to you. Due to the
natural aging process, sun damage, and a variety of other factors throughout
your life, the appearance of your skin can change over time. There are
a number of non-surgical treatments which can help to reverse signs of
aging and improve visible problems on the surface of your skin. One of
the methods of treatment we offer here is a chemical peel. Our goal is

We can provide you with both light and deep chemical peels, depending on
your unique skin condition. During your initial evaluation, we will determine
the best formula for you and make a recommendation. This procedure only
takes about 15 minutes or up to an hour in the case of a deeper peel,
and can be used on your face, neck, and chest. A chemical peel uses a
special formula made up of components such as glycolic acid, beta-hydroxy
acid, and alpha-hydroxy acid. If you get a light peel, you may need a
series of treatments, while a deep peel is usually effective in one visit.
Chemical peels are often used to treat the following skin conditions:
- Dry or rough textured skin
- Acne scarring
- Superficial blemishes
- Uneven skin texture
- Dull complexion
- Sun damage
- Pigmentation problems
- Facial lines
- Wrinkles
Providing You with Quality Care Every Time
Our cosmetic surgeons and staff are dedicated to providing you with the
highest level of service and customer care. When you come into one of our
four conveniently located offices, you will meet with one of our doctors who will provide you with helpful
information in regards to chemical peels.
Light peels often require no recovery time, but if you undergo a deep peel,
you should expect at least one week of downtime. With either peel, you
may experience some redness, dryness, flaking of the skin, or a crust
forming over the treated areas. New skin will emerge as your body's
natural healing response is stimulated. When healing is complete, you
will see fewer imperfections on the skin and a brighter, younger-looking
complexion.
